Pull a finger up if:
👉You’ve felt overwhelmed by your daily workload.
👉You’ve ended the day emotionally or physically drained.
👉You’ve felt guilty for something left undone or not done perfectly.
👉You’ve thought, “I’m not sure I can keep this up.”
👉You had no sufficient breaks in your day
If you’ve got more than one finger up, know that it’s not just you, you’re not alone, and maybe it’s time to talk about it.
💡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤
No one can perform perfectly every day, and the pressure in veterinary medicine is immense. We face pressure to perform both professionally and financially, but we also place a great deal of pressure on ourselves because we care deeply. We set impossible standards, but the truth is, mistakes and missed opportunities happen. What matters is how we respond, learn, and grow.

1️⃣ 𝐀𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬
You’re human, not a machine. It’s okay to say, “I can’t do everything.” Set boundaries and focus on what’s achievable.
2️⃣ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬
Prioritize tasks that truly matter. Let go of things that can wait or be delegated.
3️⃣ 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦
You don’t have to do it all alone. Sharing responsibilities builds trust and lightens the load.
4️⃣ 𝐁𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟
Self-compassion is key. Treat yourself with the same understanding you’d offer a friend in the same situation.
5️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭
Instead of focusing on what went wrong, ask yourself: What went well today? What can I do differently tomorrow?
🌈 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫
You’re making a difference, even when it doesn’t feel like it. Every patient you help, every problem you solve, and every small win adds up.
