Tyfane Yamaoka

BVSc, MRCVS, European College of Small Animal Anaesthesia and Analgesia — Residency trained

Tyfane graduated from The University of Queensland, in Australia. After spending some time in a small animal practice, she joined the Charles Stuart University as an Associate Lecturer in Anaesthesia.

She then moved to the U.K. in 2012 and completed a three -years ECVAA approved residency program in small animal anaesthesia at the University of Glasgow. At the end of the residency she remained at the same University as a clinician in veterinary anaesthesia. During that time, she developed an interest in anaesthetic management of oncological surgery and radiotherapy, in the use of neuromuscular blocking agents and vasoactive drugs, and in the management of critical care and trauma patients in the intensive care unit.

Tyfane has worked in a number of large referral centres as a veterinary anaesthetist and currently provides anaesthesia and analgesia consultancy in the U.K. and overseas. When not at work, Tyfane can be found with her partner playing tennis, pickleball, paddle boarding, travelling and exploring, preferably sunny new places!
